FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You must avoid anything under 300 GSM! That's the baseline for feeling substantial. If you want a truly premium hang tags feel—the kind that resists curling and tearing—you should aim for 400 GSM or higher. That heavy cardstock tags weight is the single best way to communicate luxury and quality before the customer even buys the product!
You must use Hot Foil Stamping! That is the only way to get true, metallic reflectivity that ink simply cannot replicate. We press a thin layer of metallic foil (gold, silver, even holographic!) onto the tag using heat and immense pressure. It creates a luminous, raised effect that screams "premium!"
A grommet is crucial durable hang tag reinforcement! On heavy items (like coats or jeans) or tags that are going to be handled roughly, the string or plastic pin will eventually tear right through the cardstock. The metal or plastic grommet ring prevents that tearing, guaranteeing the tag stays attached until the customer intentionally removes it.
You can get some texture, but for the best texture, you need a Matte Lamination combined with either Embossing (physically raising the text) or Debossing (indenting the text). That physical dimension creates a sensory showmanship experience that a basic varnish simply cannot touch!
The MOQ for custom hang tag shapes starts at 500 units! This volume allows us to efficiently manage the specialized die-cutting and complex post-press finishing steps required (like foiling or lamination) to deliver truly high-quality, professional results.
